Ride 50k to Live Well with Parkinson’s
The Parkinson’s Peloton is a group of riders with PD riding along side others on the 50k route on adaptive e-bikes, allowing them to engage an electric motor to make pedaling easier. Many people with Parkinson’s are physically unable to ride a regular bike, this option lets them participate in events they otherwise might not.
While most cyclists will ride in support of friends and loved ones, another group will demonstrate what it means to live well with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s Peloton participant eligibility:
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease
Can get on and off a bike with limited assistance
Can maintain balance while riding
