In 1979 two professors at the University of Colorado started Boulder Beer Company, Colorado’s First Craft Brewery. At that time there were only 42 other operating breweries in the country! The original site of the brewery was a small farm northeast of Boulder, the brew house sharing space in a shed originally housing a few goats. Our brewers continue to test boundaries with unique blends and combinations on our pilot brewing system and barrel-aged program. Stop in to The Pub on Wilderness for this week’s “Brewer’s Choice” and who knows, you could be sampling the first batch of The Next Big Thing!
Trek began in 1976, when a pair of determined guys set out to make the best bicycles the world had ever seen. Their vision was grounded in unswerving principles: the product would be of the highest quality craftsmanship and it would bring the joy of cycling to a broader audience. We are driven by adventure, guided by our history, inspired by community, enchanted by the freedom of the open road and committed, always, to creating the world’s greatest bicycles.
The Davis Phinney Foundation’s mission is to help people living with Parkinson’s to live well today. The Foundation offers programs, resources and research to help people affected by Parkinson’s take greater control of their treatment in order to improve quality of life today and every day. The Unsteady Hand promotes improved quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s through communal creative engagement. It is not uncommon for People with Parkinson’s (PWP) to become disengaged and isolated from their community. The explanations for separation can be physical, emotional or a combination of the two. We do everything we can to get through this mess called Parkinson’s as a community... a collective. Drawing, painting, origami, mask-making, the sky's the limit as to what we can discover as an artists collective. Our annual gallery show highlights the works produced throughout the year by our Parkinson’s artists and give individuals the opportunity to sell their work. We provide art supplies and facilitation of the artistic process along with just a plain old dose of fun.
